LL Apparel Promotion (2021)
In early 2021, I had a number of friends and listeners communicated their interest in purchasing apparel to support my music, which I was producing under the stage name Lightskin Legend (LL) at the time. As a part of my initiative to grow my LL brand name and imagery outside of just music (having designed a logo a year earlier), I designed and sourced the production of a line of apparel that included t-shirts, face masks, and hoodies. I conducted market research to determine the quantity of product to order based on aggregated demand and to develop a tiered pricing system. With the use of the following promotional materials and designs, I sold nearly $1,000 of apparel in a two month purchasing period with nearly a 40% profit margin and was left with only $28 in unsold inventory after the initial sales period. Moreover, during this period, my social media traffic increased by 28%, follows increased by 7%, and streams across all platforms increased by 19%.
