For Love & For Fate (2025)
Tracklist: 18
Runtime: 53 minutes
Singles: 4
Featured Artists: 0
Streams: TBD
For Love & For Fate shares some characteristics with The Prince, but has more advanced engineering and production. It is similar in that it features songs that were written over a considerable period of time (between 2021 and 2024) and includes even more genre diversity than its predecessor, with hard trap, cloud rap, dance/synth pop, melodic hip hop, pop, and multiple sub-genres of pop. Despite the first tracks being written in late 2021, the album was not recorded until Summer 2024, and delays in the final mixing process set the album back to release in May 2025. This album is my first that features fluid transitions in between certain tracks, but is otherwise a synthetic mix between old and new GW. While some tracks sound more familiar thanks to beats from some of the first producers I ever worked with (like Kid Ocean and Yung Dza), others are completely unlike any I have released before (like synth pop single 2Nite, new wave trap anthem Blood Ties, and storytelling pop ballad For Love & For Fate). Despite the album's wide variety of genres and discontinuous writing timeline, its sound and mixing are more consistent than past projects due to being recorded and mixed at the same time and place.

The Prince (2024)
Tracklist: 18
Runtime: 56 minutes
Singles: 6
Featured Artists: 2 (heaven, Tasha Matthews)
Streams: 37,000+
My 8th studio album features my most diverse collection of genres and sounds yet, including pop, trap, melodic rap, R&B, and Afrobeat tracks. The Prince's writing and production time was unprecedentedly extensive, stretching from lead single Costa Rica Part 1 (Day)'s composition in May 2021 and release in July '21 to the final single For You's release in March 2023. Production & audio engineering on the non-single tracks did was completed at the end of 2023, and after another half-year delay, the album was finally released in July 2024. As a result of this 3 year production timeline, the 18-track project was recorded in 5 different studios and engineered by 4 different producers - so while the track list is ordered with intention, individual tracks have very different mixes and feels, adding to the diverse and multitudinous sound of The Prince. The album's final single, For You, was written and recorded spontaneously in Kigali, Rwanda in January 2023 and features American singer Tasha Matthews and Rwandan artist heaven. The music video for For You was shot the day after recording in the streets of Kigali and eclipsed the album's streaming numbers with 67,000 views on social media and YouTube.

Walker Ave (2021)
Tracklist: 16
Runtime: 49 minutes
Singles: 6
Featured Artists: 8 (K Carbon, staysie atoms, Lil $tunna, Tezzo Santana, Twony, K.Love, D.J. Swift)
Streams: 70,000+
Walker Ave, named after the street in Memphis, Tennessee, is my love letter to Memphis music. As a research fellow with the Rhodes Institute for Regional Studies, I teamed up with local artists and producers and used a $5,000+ budget to help capture the "Memphis Sound" using samples from artists like Three Six Mafia, synthesized strings, 808 hi-hat patterns, Blues chord progressions, and the slang and accent unique to the region. The negative connotations typically associated with the city can be racist and harmful in many ways, but this project serves to push back again those narratives and celebrate the trendsetting nature of Memphis music. Production and features were sourced entirely from area natives, including now-Grammy nominated producer HitKidd. Hit singles Pressure, featuring one of Memphis' biggest female rappers K Carbon (sister to rapper Pooh Shiesty), and Kim Possible, a collaborative remix of cloud-rap star staysie atoms' 2021 hit, were responsible for over 30,000 streams alone, and Can't See Me, lead single Bad As Me, and R&B hit No More Time brought in familiar faces with long-time collaborators and friends K.Love, D.J. Swift, and Girlfriend. Read more about this unique project here.

Commitment Issues (2021)
Tracklist: 8
Runtime: 25 minutes
Singles: 1
Featured Artists: 0
Streams: 58,000+
Commitment Issues was the second of two short albums released in close succession in 2021 and features a multi-sided approach to the overarching theme of love. Commitment Issues and (Anti?)Social explore thoughtful yet pessimistic views towards connection while Mr. Grinch and My Shot express a wounded yet hopelessly romantic perspective. In similar contrast, She's A Rockstar celebrates a proud, top-tier romantic prospect while OnlyBands warns of the dangers of social media validation and prioritizing clout and money over genuine relationships. Lil' Mama adds an upbeat latin flair, written partially in Spanish, and No Cuffing boldly contradicts the themes of other tracks by explicitly denying commitment and lasting romance. Commitment Issues heralded the most lucrative hit to date with its only single My Shot, which shot to #23 on the U.K. iTunes Hip Hop charts upon its release in March 2021 and was playlisted heavily in the U.K. and Western Europe on its way to surpassing 43,000 streams.

Atmos(fear) of a Black Planet (2021)
Tracklist: 8
Runtime: 24 minutes
Singles: 2
Featured Artists: 1 (Ponce De'Leioun)
Streams: 59,000+
Atmos(fear) of a Black Planet is a comprehensive discussion of the multitudes of the African American experience. Despite the obvious thematic connection with the Black Lives Matter protests that dominated the summer of 2020, the album's ideation and writing began in Spring 2020 and most tracks were completed before the summer. Atmos(fear)'s title and cover art was inspired by renowned Public Enemy album Fear of a Black Planet. The subject matter of the album varies greatly from track to track, with songs like Royalty triumphantly celebrating proud ancestry while 19, Another (Again), and ID share personal and public experiences with police brutality. Singles Cold World and Power explore complex themes of systemic racism, Dearly Departed offers a hard-edged refusal to be subjected to violence, and The Ancestors reflects on the first voyages of Africans to America and the complex legacy that African American descendants of enslaved people each individually experience today. Power was chosen as the opening soundtrack for Allegiance, a 2020 virtual theater project by the Rhodes McCoy Theater, and features Ponce De'Leioun, a Los Angeles rapper and entrepreneur with over 1 million followers on social media.

LimeLight (2020)
Tracklist: 13
Runtime: 41 minutes
Singles: 2
Featured Artists: 1 (Ponce De'Leioun)
Streams: 97,000+
LimeLight's name was inspired by the Canadian progressive rock band RUSH's hit single of the same name while incorporating the double L's of Lightskin Legend, and was my biggest project to date. It would become my most streamed album ever, with nearly 100,000 streams in the first two years of its May 2020 release, and featured the most advanced audio engineering on a project to date thanks to the contributions of new collaborator Griffin Rone (who would engineer nearly half of my songs from 2020 on). As a result, LimeLight introduced unprecedented beat manipulations and audio effects on tracks like Joker and Nefertiti, which complimented beats by top tier producers like CashMoneyAP and Gezin of 808 Mafia. This provides a unique contrast between past and future, as LimeLight would be the last album that also included beats I created (on tracks like E.T. and Love Me). While the album is almost exclusively hip hop (including hard-hitting trap single Joker and mainstream hit Pretty Faces), it features a couple R&B beats and my first dramatic genre deviation with rock track Say Now. The final track, The Furnace, is a commentary on racial injustice and thus would foreshadow the theme of my next project a year later.

Lightskin Legend x MakSauce Collaborations (2019)
Tracklist: 2
Runtime: 5 minutes
Singles: 2
Featured Artists: 1 (MakSauce)
Streams: 6,000+
Singles Worry Bout That and Driving Crazy were back to back collaborations with eccentric Atlanta rapper MakSauce, formerly signed to prominent record label Quality Control (whose top artists included Migos, Lil Baby, and Lil Yachty). Despite the palpable stylistic and lyrical differences between myself and MakSauce, these projects were the first concerted effort to grow my audience and reach through collaboration with artists with large platforms. In this respect, the two songs were not extraordinarily successful, as I sacrificed what I believed to be lyrical quality and my own stylistic aspirations for what resulted in only about 3,000 streams apiece between the two tracks - not even enough to crack my top 20 most streamed songs. I did not have any input on the beats or themes used for either track, and recorded my verses without ever meeting my collaborator in person, adding to the strange and inauthentic feel of these two songs in comparison to the rest of my discography.

LL7 (2019)
Tracklist: 18
Runtime: 66 minutes
Singles: 2
Featured Artists: 6 (BabyZings, Featherynatery, Dashiel Walker [originally DashIsCash], LFN Ty, K.Love, D.J. Swift)
Streams: 6,000+
Between its iconic name (a play on 007 and the double LL's of Lightskin Legend), James Bond-themed cover art, and the addition of both the remix to my most viral hit to date ($0.10) and the album's namesake LL7 (a 007-themed thriller featuring a surprisingly advanced verse from my 15-year-old brother), LL7 the album is undoubtedly one of my most memorable. What it boasts in appearance and cult popularity, however, it lacks in production quality and lasting performance. Despite coming on the heels of my local claim to fame in Memphis - winning the 2019 Rhodes Battle of the Bands with Mississippi artist Girlfriend and subsequently opening for global stars Sean Kingston and Amine at the Rites of Spring Festival - LL7 barely surpassed 6,000 streams and almost all of these were from the $0.10 Remix, LL7, and the 2 singles, Paris and Really On. I created the beats for 11 out of the 18 songs - which, to be fair, can't be attributed to the album's poor reception since 3 out of the 4 most streamed tracks were my beats - but it is inarguable that the quality of both the beats and engineering held back the potential of the album's writing. Still, the perennial hits and iconic branding make LL7 a landmark in my discography.

Seasons EP (2019)
Tracklist: 5
Runtime: 13 minutes
Singles: 0
Featured Artists: 0
Streams: <2,000
The most obscure project in my discography is the 2019 EP Seasons, released jointly with New York producer Featherynatery. Between being 1 of 7 single and albums releases in 2019, achieving almost no streaming traction, immediately being overshadowed by LL7, and not featuring any singles or hits, this EP is not exactly my crown jewel - but it has a certain ugly duckling charm. Seasons featured beats exclusively made by Featherynatery, which were stylistically different from the beats I normally wrote to, but I wanted to branch out and continue to diversify my sound. This was certainly accomplished, with 5 completely different-sounding tracks that bore almost no relation whatsoever to each other. Good To Me is a introspective relation on my privileges in life, La Vida (es) en Vaciones (Vacaciones) has a dreamy vacation-themed feel with random spurts of Spanish (butchered about as badly as the spelling of the title), Mutual Feelings is a heartfelt love song, Young LL is an aggressive diss track towards some obscure producer that apparently wronged me at the time, and Summer's End wraps the whole thing up with a surprisingly catchy summertime pop/dance feel. Shown are the original cover and 2023 update.

Chill & Vibe (2019)
Tracklist: 1
Runtime: 4 minutes
Singles: 1
Featured Artists: 1 (Girlfriend)
Streams: 1,000+
The first of many releases in 2019, single Chill & Vibe did not feature particularly high production quality, the artwork was even more barebones, and it was one of only three singles in my discography to never be included on an album. Despite its minimal production effort and unimpressive streaming numbers, the single was considerably well received and is still streamed to this day - thanks to the incredible vocals of featured artist Girlfriend (at the time, Kenya). Chill & Vibe was the first R&B song in my discography, and was written solely in an effort to collaborate with my friend and upcoming artist Kenya Edwards (now Girlfriend). I created the beat and handled my end of the engineering myself, while Kenya's vocals were mixed by her engineer (definitely for the better). Today, Girlfriend is a true up-and-coming singer and has collaborated with several major artists, including Big Boogie and Yung Bleu.

Main Thang (2018)
Tracklist: 1
Runtime: 3 minutes
Singles: 1
Featured Artists: 1 (BabyZings)
Streams: 14,000+
By far my biggest early career hit, my very first single Main Thang immediately became a cult favorite with its catchy hook and simple, 808 bass-driven beat and would amass over 14,000 streams on Spotify alone. Colorado rapper BabyZings is featured in both the second verse and the music video, which was filmed in Atlanta, Georgia in the summer of 2019 and is still my most-viewed music video on YouTube. The song and video feature both the male and female perspective, thanks to BabyZings' feature, with both artists rapping about the qualifications for their "main thang" and a somewhat-departed video storyline with both characters experiencing relationship trials with their respective model partners. Despite the exclusion of the song from 2019 studio album LL7, Main Thang was chosen to be featured in a music video over every song on the album due to its popularity and memorable theme. Main Thang is also special because I wrote the beat, which was common for the first few projects of mine but usually precluded the level of production quality that would make for a hit - it is the most streamed track that I ever produced the beat for.

Process (2018)
Tracklist: 15
Runtime: 52 minutes
Singles: 0
Featured Artists: 4 (Featherynatery, Dashiel Walker [DashIsCash], K.Love, D.J. Swift)
Streams: 3,500+
My second studio album, 2018's Process, was intentionally named; it represented a significant step forward in my musical product and production from A Cold Winter's Fireplace, but was still just one step in the process to realizing my potential as an artist. Despite significant technological improvements in recording and production, it was still rudimentary and I handled every aspect of the engineering and mixing. Just as my own rapping ability was rapidly improving, so was that of my friends and constant collaborations D.J. Swift and K.Love. This resulted in tracks like Life or Death and Crossroads, which were undeniably ahead of their time and could have been serious hits with more advanced production and marketing. The track list has a lot of personality; the aptly-named My Brudda features a surprise appearance from then-13-year-old Dashiel Walker, Don't Say Nada is an almost-sensual attempt at R&B, and Layup Like Filayyy is a fun freestyle continuously bouncing back and forth between three voices. The shining star of the project, however, is early hit Most Hated, which sets the tone for the album early with a droning trap beat and cocky vocals and would rack up almost 3,000 streams alone.

A Cold Winter's Fireplace (2017)
Tracklist: 13
Runtime: 45 minutes
Singles: 0
Featured Artists: 1 (K.Love)
Streams: 11,000+
In the final days of 2017, I made my surprise debut into the hip hop world with a bold, polarizing name, an iconic album cover, and entire full length album - A Cold Winter's Fireplace. The title, album art, and double L hand gesture would all become icons of the Lightskin Legend image, probably far more so than the actual content of the album. $0.10 was the defining song of my early career, and its beat, loquacious lyrics, and catchy hook made it an instant hit in the campus community despite its laughable production quality. How Many begins the album with a fast, strong trap feel, and follows up with a top tier verse from consistent collaborator K.Love - it likely could have been a hit with better production as well. The namesake song Cold Winter's Fireplace is about as verbally dense as possible (a young listener once said a dictionary was necessary to listen) and Fight Night, on a copycat beat of the year's XXL Freestyle, ended up as the most streamed track from the project, but the overall song quality was extremely poor. This is no surprise, seeing as the entire album was recorded on a Apple EarBud microphone in a college dorm and "mixed" on the GarageBand iPhone app - but we all have to start somewhere.
